663 tunnels in regular service equalling over 250 miles of tunnel

474 disused tunnels equalling over 130 miles, many of these having been closed for some considerable time, but are still out there to be found and viewed.

71 tunnels or 10 miles of tunnel, which have been totally obliterated or in-filled and lost forever. There're all here and listed on this amazing database.

Many entries contain maps and photographs of the tunnel or its portals.
National Grid References, pictures and line diagrams. There are stories and features on some of the tunnels, and where possible the length and bore of each tunnel is shown, along with its position & line of rail.

There are indexes where you will be able to check the tunnel by its, Length, County, Name or Railway Company. Each disused tunnel has its own descriptive page offering as much information as we could find, about it.

All the information is presented in Adobe 'Acrobat' and will work with any PC running Windows 95 or higher. Mac users can also enjoy its contents. A copy of Acrobat Reader is also included on the CD.
