The collapsed entrance to Grey Crag Level lies at the bottom of the curving track and is located just across the wooden bridge which crosses Levers Water Beck. 1049-320 |

The entrance to the Hospital Level with Levers Water Beck in the distance. This level intersects the Grey Crag level some distance. Although the entrance looks harmless enough, not far into the level there are some very dangerous areas where the level is carried on timbers over deep stopes. 973-320 |

Paddy End Mine - The remains of the ore settling ponds below Courtenay's crosscut, with Grey Crag in the distance. The extensive Paddy End Mill was here but alterations associated with the construction of the underground reservoir have obscured much of the remains. 977-320 |

After following the track from Paddy End , we arrive at the Bonsor Mill site. This photograph shows the settling ponds at the site. This site and the nearby Paddy End site made extensive use of running water for powering waterwheels and washing and sorting ore by utilising the differing densities of the ore and the surrounding barren rock and gangue minerals. The white building on the right which is now Coppermines Youth Hostel, was once the mine offices and laboratory. 978-320 |

The blacksmith's hearth amongst the debris of the Bonsor Mill buildings. It's a great advertisement for the manufacturers, if they are still in business. If only they still made cars like this (they would weigh 15 tons and be called the Lada Riva). "The Acme Blacksmith's hearth - It'll still be here when you're not" 979_320 |
