| Garsdale (or Hawes Junction as it was once known) was the point at which the single track branch diverged for Hawes in Wensleydale. It was an important junction and had its own turntable. After lying derelict for several years the turntable was saved and is now relocated at the Keighley and Worth valley railway. | |||

road bridge over the A684 just South of Dandry Mire
Grid reference SD 788918 Adjacent to the 39 ft 6 inch wide arch of the skew bridge are the six Moorcock Cottages, originally built to house Midland Railway employees. Fortunately, the Moorcock Inn (originally called the Guide Post Inn) isn't far away and must have been the only comfort on winter nights (or did they all go to the nearby Methodist Mount Zion Chapel instead). |
